Spring & summer
Sun-ripened tomatoes, courgettes, burrata, grilled fish and bright salads: fresh, colourful plates made for lunch on the terrace.

At Le Caribou, place Thiars, the kitchen follows the rhythm of the market: fresh produce, home-made dishes and deliveries of the moment, to enjoy indoors or on the terrace facing the Vieux-Port.
The spirit of the season
A good plate starts with good produce — and good produce has a season. At Le Caribou the kitchen begins with what the market offers month by month: vegetables of the moment, fresh fish, ripe fruit, herbs cut that day.
As a result, the menu is never quite fixed. We adjust the dishes, replace and invent as the deliveries come in, rather than serving the same recipes all year round. That freshness, plate after plate, is what brings the regulars back.

Home-made
In the kitchen everything is prepared on site: slow-cooked stocks, vegetables cut fresh, careful plating. Our cooks build dishes that follow the season rather than fixed recipes — every plate has its colour, its gesture and its story.
Discover the menuThrough the year
The season decides the colour and the scent of the moment. Three families to find yours, whatever the time of year.
Sun-ripened tomatoes, courgettes, burrata, grilled fish and bright salads: fresh, colourful plates made for lunch on the terrace.
Root vegetables, slow-cooked dishes, braised meats and silky purées: an enveloping cuisine that warms the evenings facing the harbour.
Fresh fish, produce of the day and home-made desserts follow the deliveries just like the rest of the menu — the best of the moment, no compromise.

The craft
What sets a seasonal cuisine apart shows in the freshness of the produce: firm vegetables, fish of the day, fragrant herbs and a cook who takes the time to do it well. At Le Caribou the plate always starts from the market, not the other way round.
Tell us what you like — more land or more sea, light or generous — and we steer you to the seasonal dish that looks like you. That consistency, plate after plate, keeps both locals and visitors coming back.
Our tips
A few simple markers to get the best from the menu of the moment, from lunch to dinner facing the harbour.
Ask for the season
Dishes change month by month. Ask the team about the produce and suggestions of the moment: that is often where the finest surprises hide.
Share your taste
Land or sea, light or generous, with or without meat: the more you tell us, the more the seasonal plate looks like you.
Book for lunch
At lunch as at dinner, the harbour-facing terrace goes fast in fine weather. A booked table means the view is yours and the meal starts without a wait.
The menu, the home cooking, the venue: carry on around the seasonal cuisine.
Good to know
It is a cuisine built with the fresh produce of the moment: seasonal vegetables and fruit, fish of the day, herbs cut in the morning. The menu evolves month by month rather than staying fixed all year, to serve the best of each period.
Yes. Our cooks adjust the dishes as deliveries and seasons come in — some plates return, others make way for new ideas. That is what keeps the menu fresh and alive from one visit to the next.
At Le Caribou, place Thiars, on the Vieux-Port of Marseille (13001), steps from the quays, the cours d'Estienne d'Orves and the Canebière. Settle indoors or on the terrace, at lunch or at dinner.
Yes. In the kitchen everything is prepared on site from fresh produce: slow-cooked stocks, vegetables cut fresh, careful plating. It is the heart of our approach to seasonal cuisine.
Of course. Market vegetables hold a central place on the menu: salads, bowls and vegetarian plates follow the season just like the rest. Ask the team about the suggestions of the moment.
For a well-placed table at the weekend or in fine weather, booking avoids the wait and secures the harbour view. For groups it is strongly advised. A simple visit remains possible depending on how busy we are.
